CJ 07 to be converted to TJ or other Wrangler

AoA I am having a CJ 07 of 1979 Model. I need an expert advice regarding converting it into TJ or other later Wrangler like JK etc. i can spend value to money expense on the project. Please guide me whether I should go for it keeping in view on road technical maintenance etc etc.
