Team IJC had excellent fun day out at Rohtas river bed.
We were 15 rigs with 30+ friends, Took approx 2 hours from Islamabad to Rohtas Fort, obviously we turned down towards the river bed just before the fort itself. Due to the unusally high amount of rain in winter season this year, the river bed as expected wasn't dry, but the water level wasn't high, infact the deepest we saw was around a foot or just above, which was good for lots of splashing and fun dry sand runs. The whole width of the river bed wasn't full of water but rather half was sandy and other half would have flowing water.
Saeed bhai came all the way from Lahore and on his double cabin Vigo he had his newly designed n self made camper unit. He had brought along the camper to test out and MashaAllah everything went as planned. Peshawar team also made the extra journey and joined on this fun day out.
We set up cooking camp by river side. As usual food incharge were Zeb and Naeem bhai. We had juicy afghani tikkas and naeem bhai had also brought along special brain masala dish and chicken dish as well. This was followed by choice of desserts including gulab jamas, barfi, gur walay chawal, kheer and cakes. This was followed by hot karak doodhpatti.
We did have few mud and quick sand bog down and sunken vehicle, which were either tugged or winched out. As they say, if you don't get stuck...............means you are not trying hard enuff!!
